Day 1 - Welcome to Chapada!

Included Meal: Lunch

We begin your journey by welcoming you at the Airport or your Accommodation in Brasília. We will take you to Alto Paraíso, about 230 km from the capital. We will check-in at the accommodation.

Day 2 - Raizama & Vale da Lua

Included Meals: Breakfast and Lunch

After breakfast, we will head out to explore the São Miguel River.
We will visit the Espaço Infinito farm and take a model trail along the edge of the Raizama canyon.
We will walk through the farm’s trail circuit, passing by a small stream that drops into the canyon from a height of 40 meters. Continuing along the route, we will follow the canyon’s edge.
Next, we will visit another attraction of the São Miguel River, the Valley of the Moon, a private property near the National Park. We will walk 600 meters to the São Miguel riverbed, known for its exotic rock formations sculpted by the waters over thousands of years.
We will have lunch in the late afternoon in São Jorge. Optional – Visit the hot water pools at “Jequitibá”.

Day 3: Cânion II & Cariocas.

Included Meals: Breakfast and Lunch

After breakfast, we will visit the Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park.
We will hike the trails leading to the canyons. We will visit Canyon II, with its large quartzite rock walls and several pools, where we will have a snack.
Next, we will walk to the Cariocas waterfalls, where the Black River cascades over the rocks from a height of 30 meters.
We will have lunch in São Jorge in the late afternoon.

Day 4: Black River Falls

After breakfast, we will hike the trail to the Black River Falls.
The first waterfall we will visit is 120 meters high and offers an unforgettable view, which has become a postcard of the Chapada. Next, we will visit the 80-meter waterfall, which has a large pool, perfect for swimming.
On the way back from the hike, we will take another dip in the natural whirlpools at Pedreiras.
We will have lunch in São Jorge in the late afternoon.

Day 5: Almécegas Waterfalls / Return to Brasília.

Included Meals: Breakfast and Lunch

After breakfast and check-out from the inn, we will depart from São Jorge towards Alto Paraíso. On the way, we will stop at São Bento Farm to visit the Almécegas I waterfall, with a 45-meter drop.

Optional – Hawk’s Flight Zipline.

We will then head to Alto Paraíso for a shower and lunch.
Transfer to Brasília airport. Schedule flights after 6 PM.

What to bring?

Climate

Dry Season — May to September

The dry season in Chapada dos Veadeiros occurs from May to September, with reduced rainfall starting in April. During this period, the vegetation changes color, and the sunsets become more beautiful. It’s the ideal time to visit, with hot, sunny days and cool nights. July is the peak of the high season due to school holidays. The waterfall waters are colder, but the trails are invigorating, and the water is clearer. Between April and June, Chapada is less crowded, the vegetation is still green, and the waterfalls are full. From August to September, the dry season intensifies, with brown vegetation and weaker waterfalls. October brings back the rains and the intense green.

Rainy Season — October to April

From October to April, Chapada dos Veadeiros receives significant rainfall, especially in December and January. The rains start slowly in September and increase in November, bringing back the green and the strength of the waterfalls. However, there is a risk of flash floods, and the waterfall waters may become murky. September and October are good months to visit, with waterfalls beginning to regain their strength, but November to March requires more caution due to storms. Despite the rains, the waterfall waters tend to be warmer, and the views are spectacular.

Do I need a visa?
As a Brazilian, only an updated ID is required to cross the border into Argentina and Paraguay. Please check the requirements before traveling, as this is the responsibility of the tourist.

Plane: You need to arrive at Brasília International Airport, from where we will take you to Chapada dos Veadeiros.

Is there a minimum age?
There are no age restrictions for this package.

What is the physical effort involved?
Most activities in the Chapada dos Veadeiros Trip involve physical effort. Some days you will walk more than 10 km. However, as long as you don’t have reduced mobility, you will fully enjoy the experience. Remember, we can adapt the program to your needs. We have other packages for the destination that require less physical effort.

Do I need to train for the activities?
There is no need for training, as our guides will be there to provide full support.

Where will we sleep?
You will stay in Local Inns. We offer luxury options.

Will my cell phone work?
No, the accommodation usually offers free Wi-Fi service.

What are the baggage restrictions?

Any tips for packing?
Backpacks are recommended for comfort, but you can use any type of luggage. Bring a smaller backpack for use during activities.

Who will I be traveling with?
Accommodations are exclusive to you, your family, and/or friends. Some tours and activities will be done in groups. Private activities are available upon request (prices may vary in this case).

Postponement and Cancellation Policy

Weather and Meteorology
The itinerary and order of excursions may be subject to change due to weather conditions and/or adverse conditions for tourism activities. If necessary, Nattrip will postpone the activity to a compatible date at no additional cost.

Cancellations Due to Personal Reasons, according to EMBRATUR’s normative deliberation number 161 of August 9, 1985, refunds will be issued as follows:

– Cancellation up to 30 days before the start of the activity: 90% refund of the total amount;
– Cancellation between 29 and 21 days before the start of the activity: 80% refund of the total amount;
– Cancellation less than 21 days before the start of the activity: no refund;

No-Show Situations
In the case of “no-show” situations, where the client does not notify the postponement or cancellation with a minimum notice period and/or does not participate in the activity, Nattrip reserves the right not to refund any amount to the client.
