“Iguaçu” comes from the Tupi-Guarani language, meaning “Big Water.” Legend has it that centuries ago, long before Spaniards or Portuguese even imagined the existence of the Americas, a powerful god wanted to marry a mortal woman. To his displeasure, she was in love with another mortal. Fleeing the god’s wrath, the lovers escaped down the river in a canoe. In a furious act, the god split the waters, creating the waterfalls and condemning the couple to an eternal fall.

Day 4

Day 1: Welcome to Foz do Iguaçu!

Upon arrival at Foz do Iguaçu Airport (IGU), our team will be ready to welcome you and ensure a smooth transfer to your hotel, providing a comfortable start to your adventure. On this first day of the Iguassu Falls Package, you’ll have the freedom to relax or explore the city as you prefer. This is the perfect moment to discover the city center and soak in the atmosphere while preparing for the exciting experiences ahead. Day 2: Brazilian Falls, Bird Park, and Aguaray

Our first stop on the Iguassu Falls Package is one of the most iconic and breathtaking places in Brazil, considered by many the best way to experience the grandeur and beauty of this destination. Seeing the Iguassu Falls from the Brazilian side offers a 360-degree view of the waterfalls.

We’ll follow a light trail of approximately 1.5 km, surrounded by the region’s natural landscape, until we reach the highlight of the tour: the main bridge, which stands incredibly close to the Falls. There, you’ll feel the power and energy of one of the seven natural wonders. The experience is almost like a baptism: the refreshing water of the falls surrounds you, providing a unique sense of connection with nature.

PACOTE PARA FOZ DO IGUAÇU

Continuing the tour, you’ll visit the largest bird park in Latin America. The Bird Park in Foz do Iguaçu was created to preserve endangered species and care for animals rescued from trafficking. During this tour, you’ll have the opportunity to see around 140 species of birds. Enjoy a two-hour walk along the trails inside the park, always surrounded by birds like toucans, parrots, macaws, and other native species!

PACOTE PARA FOZ DO IGUAÇU

After visiting the Bird Park, our guide will take you to Aguaray Ecosport, a protected area near the National Park. There, we’ll begin a 45-minute hike through preserved Atlantic Forest, reaching the banks of the Iguaçu River, where we’ll start a guided kayak or stand-up paddle tour. After this breathtaking paddling experience, which lasts around 1 hour and 30 minutes, we’ll continue with another 20-minute hike toward a 15-meter-high waterfall.

Day 3: Argentine Falls

On the third day of the Iguassu Falls Package, we’ll take you to one of the most symbolic landmarks of the region: the Three Borders Landmark. This site offers a unique experience, allowing you to admire the meeting point of three countries — Brazil, Argentina, and Paraguay — each represented on one side of the river.

After visiting the Three Borders Landmark, we’ll head to the Argentine side of Iguassu Falls. In this part of the package, we’ll hike along trails immersed in the lush vegetation of Iguazú National Park — a true paradise for nature lovers. Along the way, you’ll admire several waterfalls from different angles, appreciating the power and beauty of this natural heritage.

The highlight of this tour is the visit to the Devil’s Throat, the largest and most impressive waterfall in the park. Here, you’ll come face to face with one of nature’s most powerful displays, feeling the force of the water. Watching the water plunge into a massive abyss is, without a doubt, one of the most unforgettable experiences of this destination.

This tour lasts approximately 6 hours and is perfect for those who want to deeply experience the beauty of the Argentine Falls and connect intensely with nature.

What is the weather like in the Iguassu Falls Package?

Foz do Iguaçu has a humid subtropical climate, with rainfall throughout the year. Each season has the following characteristics:

Summer:
From December to February, the weather is hot and humid, with daytime temperatures ranging from 25°C to 35°C and milder nights around 20°C.

Autumn:
From March to May, temperatures range from 15°C to 30°C, bringing a milder climate and relief from the summer heat.

Winter:
From June to August, the weather is drier and cooler, with an average temperature of 18°C, and it’s the least rainy period of the year.

Spring:
From September to November, temperatures range from 15°C to 30°C. It’s considered one of the best times to visit the city, when the falls have the greatest water volume.

Do I need a visa?
As a Brazilian citizen, a valid RG (national ID) allows you to cross the borders into Argentina and Paraguay. Please check requirements before traveling, as it is the traveler’s responsibility.

How to get to Foz do Iguaçu?
You need to fly to the Foz do Iguaçu International Airport. Our transfer service will be there to pick you up and take you to your hotel in Foz do Iguaçu.

When to visit Foz do Iguaçu?
Rainy season: December to February
Dry season: June to August

We recommend traveling during the high-flow period for the Iguassu Falls Package, as the waterfalls are at full strength, offering an unforgettable natural spectacle. That said, the region is worth visiting year-round.
We suggest May, June, and July, when the weather is most favorable. Rain is more frequent in summer.

Postponement Policy

Weather and Forecast:
The itinerary and the order of the tours may be modified due to weather and/or conditions that are not favorable for tourism activities. If necessary, Nattrip will postpone the activity to a suitable date at no additional cost.

Cancellations due to personal reasons (client):
According to EMBRATUR’s regulatory decision number 161 of August 9, 1985, refunds will be issued as follows:

Cancellation up to 30 days before the activity: 90% refund of the total amount
Cancellation between 29 and 21 days before the activity: 80% refund of the total amount
Cancellation less than 21 days before the activity: no refund

No-show situations:
In cases of “no-show,” where the client fails to notify of postponement or cancellation in advance and/or does not attend the activity, Nattrip reserves the right to withhold the full amount paid.
