At the end of the expedition, we will make a round trip to the Pico do Papagaio on Ilha Grande. The perfect mix of beach and mountain!

The campsites of the Ilha Grande 360° Trekking will be set up on the beautiful beaches of Saco do Céu, Matariz or Bananal, Araçatiba, Aventureiro, and Parnaioca, either in locals’ homes or in properly accredited campsites, where meals can be purchased. 1st Day: Vila do Abraão – Saco do Céu and Enseada das Estrelas

After the logistics from the origin to the beautiful Vila do Abraão on Ilha Grande and a briefing on the activity and equipment check by the expedition guides, we will begin our trekking with the goal of reaching Enseada das Estrelas and Saco do Céu. On the way, we will visit one of Ilha Grande’s major attractions, Cachoeira da Feiticeira. Saco do Céu is an ecological sanctuary rich in biodiversity. The sea is as calm as a lake, and on starry nights, it’s possible to see the stars reflected on the water’s surface, known as the “Balé das Estrelas,” which is why it got its name. We will have dinner and spend the night at Saco do Céu.
2nd Day: Saco do Céu – Praia do Bananal
Walking time: 4 to 6 hours

Departing from Saco do Céu, we will begin our trekking on the second day of adventures through the most beautiful beach trekking in Brazil. We will pass by Praia de Japariz, Praia de Freguesia de Santana and its century-old church until we reach Bananal Pequeno and Bananal, where we will stay in a guesthouse, enjoy the beach, and rest for our next day of adventure.
3rd Day: Bananal – Araçatiba

On this day, we will pass through Praia de Matariz, the village and Praia de Sítio Forte with its school, as well as the beaches of Passa-Terra, Ubatubinha, and Praia da Longa before reaching the large Vila de Araçatiba.
4th Day: Araçatiba – Aventureiro

This day includes passing through Vila de Provetá, where an evangelical community lives in harmony with nature, almost isolated from what happens on the mainland. Our destination is Aventureiro beach, one of Ilha Grande’s most famous beaches. There, we will have the opportunity to relax, enjoy the beach, and explore the surroundings.
5th Day: Aventureiro – Parnaioca
Walking time: 6 to 8 hours

On this day, we will cross from Aventureiro to Parnaioca beach by boat, using local community boats. Parnaioca is located near the Reserva Biológica da Praia do Sul, a protected area that is off-limits to visitors. The beach is famous for its calm waters and is a favorite spot for surfers and young adventurers. We will also visit the famous “Deitado Coconut,” a remarkable feature of Ilha Grande, and enjoy the beautiful setting. Upon arrival at Parnaioca, where the river meets the sea, we will have the opportunity to experience both freshwater and saltwater. Day 1: Vila do Abraão Reception – Lopes Mendes Beach
Walking time: 4 to 5 hours
Upon arrival at Vila do Abraão on Ilha Grande, we will leave our backpacks at our accommodation and head off on a trail to one of the most beautiful beaches on the island, Lopes Mendes (considered one of the top 10 most beautiful beaches in the world), as well as Santo Antônio Beach. After visiting these locations, we will return to Abraão by boat.

Day 2: Abraão – Saco do Céu
Walking time: 3 to 4 hours
Departing from Vila do Abraão, we will pass by the Abraão Aqueduct, built in 1893 by order of Emperor Dom Pedro II. After that, there will be an optional visit to Cachoeira da Feiticeira. We will continue through Perequê Beach and Praia de Fora before reaching Enseada das Estrelas and, finally, Saco do Céu.

Day 3: Saco do Céu – Bananal Beach

On this third day, we will pass by Japariz Beach and Freguesia de Santana Beach, home to a centuries-old church. After the optional dive, we will continue to Bananal Beach, where we will stay at another guesthouse.

On this day, we will take a light hike with daypacks to the Gruta do Acaiá, covering a total of 12 km. Along the way, we will pass through Praia Vermelha and visit Dona Teresa’s flour house, where flour is still produced using an ancient artisanal technique passed down through generations. Dona Teresa, a midwife to much of the Praia Vermelha community, kept one of Ilha Grande’s oldest flour houses running throughout her life. Upon reaching Gruta do Acaiá, the effort is rewarded by a mesmerizing light show inside the cave.

Our destination is Aventureiro Beach, one of the most beautiful and famous beaches in Brazil, known for its iconic leaning coconut tree. At Aventureiro Beach, it is possible to rent kayaks, fins, and snorkels for diving.

On this day, we will cross between Aventureiro and Parnaioca beaches by sea, using boats operated by local residents.
Aventureiro Beach is located next to the Praia do Sul Biological Reserve, an off-limits area for visitors. As a result, Aventureiro is a restricted-access beach highly appreciated by young people and surfers in search of perfect waves. We will also visit the renowned “Coqueiro Deitado,” an iconic image of Ilha Grande.
At Parnaioca Beach, the river meets the sea, allowing you to enjoy both fresh and saltwater.
