Sugarloaf Mountain Hike
The Sugarloaf Mountain Hike adventure is a classic Rio experience and an unmissable adventure.
Sugarloaf Mountain is one of the main postcards of Rio de Janeiro and Brazil. Climbing this natural monument is a privilege for only a few people. Nattrip invites you to embark on an adventure along the same path where the conquest of this mountain was made in 1817.
The Sugarloaf Mountain Hike begins at Pista Cláudio Coutinho, and after 20 minutes we reach a beautiful viewpoint overlooking the entrance to Guanabara Bay and the city of Niterói. From there, we will begin a more technical trail, alternating between dirt sections, stone ramps, and some stunning viewpoints.
The most vertical section of the hike is approximately 20 meters high and is considered basic-level climbing. All safety equipment is included in the tour. After completing the small climbing section, we will return to the technical walk until we reach the Filosofal Stone viewpoint, which offers a magnificent view of Copacabana Beach, Pedra da Gávea, and Morro Dois Irmãos.
From Filosofal Stone, we will continue the hike until we reach the summit of Sugarloaf Mountain. The descent is made via the Sugarloaf Mountain Cable Car, which takes us to the Morro da Urca.
The Sugarloaf Mountain Hike is an unforgettable adventure and a great opportunity for those who have never climbed to have their first experience with the sport. No prior experience is required, and the descent is made via the world’s most famous cable car, the Sugarloaf Mountain Cable Car. Book your adventure!
